What should I wear?

Semi-formal wedding attire is perfectly acceptable for our wedding. We aren’t the tuxedo and special occasion dress type of people 😉 As of now, there will be an outdoor ceremony (dependent on weather) and the reception will be indoor. Due to the time of year, guests should anticipate cooler fall weather. The ceremony site has both gravel and grass so please plan your footwear accordingly.

Do I get a plus one?

We want everyone to be as comfortable as possible so each invitation will include a plus one. Please indicate when you RSVP if you will have a guest with you. Due to limited seating, it is imperative that we have an accurate number. If you are unsure if you will have someone attend with you, please err on the side of caution and indicate there will be two adults attending.

What will happen after the ceremony?

After the ceremony, the wedding party and family will immediately begin taking pictures. The bar will open after vows are exchanged so guests are welcome to grab a beverage and explore the grounds. Additionally, there will be several activities in the reception hall that guests are encouraged to participate in. Following pictures, dinner will be served and the party will begin.

Will there be alcohol?

If you know us well, you know that having alcohol was a non-negotiable topic. We will have an open bar that opens after the ceremony. It will be a full-service bar that features a his and her signature cocktail.

I can’t come to the wedding because of a prior obligation. Are there other things I can attend?

We are sorry to hear that you will not be able to come. We are having a traditional bridal shower that will be in August that you may be able to attend. Additionally, we would love to see you outside of wedding activities! Don’t hesitate to reach out.

What time should I arrive?

The ceremony time is set for 4:30 p.m., however we recommend arriving approximately 30 minutes prior to the start time to ensure that everyone is seated and events can proceed as scheduled.

Are kids welcome?

While we love your little ones, due to limited seating not all children are able to attend. We will indicate on your invitation if we feel we have room to have your child attend with you. If your attendance to our wedding is dependent upon your child(ren) being able to come, please contact us and we will try to accommodate. Please be understanding as we navigate this through both a pandemic and the feelings of others. Please do not assume your child is invited and bring them along with you without asking. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time so you are able to celebrate this day with us.

Do you have a hotel block for out of town guests?

There are several hotels in the area that are within a half hour of the venue. Here a few places that we recommend.

Holiday Inn and Suites Plymouth, IN Konkol-Gaerte Wedding

Tru by Hilton Warsaw, IN Tru by Hilton Warsaw

Fairfield Inn by Marriot Warsaw, IN Business Hotel in Warsaw | Fairfield Inn & Suites Warsaw (marriott.com)

When is the RSVP deadline?

We are asking that everyone RSVP no later than 09/15/2021.

Will you be serving dinner?

We couldn’t ask you to party all night with us if we didn’t provide a meal. Dinner is served buffet style.

Entrees: Apple Glaze Pork Lion | Beef and Noodles

Potato: Cheesy Hashbrown Potatoes

Vegetables: Steamed Broccoli and Seasoned Green Beans

Salad: Tossed Salad with French and Ranch Dressing

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Yes please! We would love for you to post your pictures to social media being sure to use our hashtags #LetsGetThisGaerteStarted and #GettingDownAndGaerte to help us keep track of them. However, we are having an unplugged ceremony so we do ask that all phones, cameras, iPads, and any other similar device be put away during this time. We have hired two fantastic companies to take photographs and footage of our wedding day and would hate for this to be ruined by seeing cell phones in the background. We also ask that you please be mindful of them and not get frustrated if they get in the way of your perfect shot during the reception. We want everyone to feel included, but ultimately have hired these professionals due to their wonderful talent and have given them complete control to do what is needed to capture each and every moment as they see fit.

I have a question that is not listed. What is the best way to reach you?
